Niña's RX for Happy Cycling

I own a Bike E RX and it is just what the doctor ordered! It is a high performance road bike with the comfort of a reclining chair. With its carbon fiber handlebar extension, 27 speeds, 5-way adjustable seat, and its rear shock absorber, it is a bike that loves to be ridden fast. There are two colors, red and silver: mine is silver. There are two frame sizes for this bike, standard and Xtra Long. The one I ride is the standard. I bought it in July of 2001and have put over 4,000 miles on it since then.

But if you are looking to fill in your own RX for riding with a Bike E, sorry! The company went out of business in August 2002. You don't see too many of them on the roads any more, but when you do see one, you usually see a smiling, friendly rider on it.

There are no more new Bike E’s, but there are many designs and brands of recumbent bikes, and more each year. Here are our two favorite dealers:

Bike TeK Inc.
185 Route 70
Medford, NJ 08055
Tel: 609-654-6868
Ask for Mr. Lee

Jay's Pedal Power Bikes
512 East Girard Avenue
Philadelphia, PA 19125
Tel: 215-425-5111
Ask for Bob

I hope to see you on a recumbent soon!

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to Niña and Larry’s Biking Blog Site. We’re glad you logged in.

For all of you who read the address in our thank-you note, tried to log in, and found nothing – what can we say? We came up with the idea about a month ago, but it’s summer in New Jersey, we’re in training for the MS-150, and the Tour de France started a week ago.

But we are sorry. It’s past time to get things rolling, so here we go.

We invite blogs on three topics:

-- Biking topics in general

-- Recumbent bikes in particular

-- The National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s program of fund-raising bike tours, and our event in New Jersey, the annual Cherry Hill – Ocean City round-trip ride

We will start the ball rolling in all three categories, and keep it rolling as needed.
